Here are a few things my students say regarding geography:
"This says Mt Everest is the highest place on Earth. Can't planes go higher than that?"
"Is Denmark in Colorado?"
Me- "I found it in Maine." student: "Maine. is that near Italy?"
Maybe more funds should be diverted to helping children with geography.
